Inhabiting electronic realms slightly outside of pop, Danish/American duo Gliss, pour their collective musical imaginations into recording timeless art pop with a precise Scandinavian texture.
Martin Klingman and Victoria Cecilia have been dividing their time between Berlin, Los Angeles, and Copenhagen. Finishing the new recordings in Berlin, Gliss’ new music reflects the city’s night life and limitless art scene and takes on a darker and edgier sound, while keeping a solid pop structure.
The duo’s 5th album Pale Reflections is out June 26, 2015. Recorded in Los Angeles and Berlin, the 10-track album reflects the creative underbelly of both cities. Pale Reflections is a contrasting blend of dirt and dreamy pop melodies, bringing to mind Beach House, Best Coast, and The Kills.
Gliss recently had the honor of performing for the Danish royal family along with The Raveonettes and have toured with bands such as The Horrors, Editors, Glasvegas and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The album was mixed by Victoria Cecilia, and released on the duo’s own label Kraftwööd.
